NATURAL GEISHA · COLOMBIA · LIMITED RELEASES
Discovered in Abyssinia, Ethiopia, Geishas story in Colombia is still being written but what is already set in stone is its ability to be expressive yet refined. At La Divisa, Sebastian Gomez masterful drying process and strict environment control are the platform for this Geisha to sing. Famous & adored for its floral, tea like and clean finish, Geisha has long been setting the standard for what the panicle of coffee can be.
→ The process:
The perfectly ripped cherries are sundried on raised beds in temperature controlled environments in order to achieve the ideal moisture content. Once the cherries reach the ideal moisture level, they are rested and hulled to remove the dried fruit, leaving green coffee that showcases a more expressive, floral & fruit-forward interpretation of Sebastians Geisha.
→ The farm:
La Divisa is a high-elevation coffee farm in Quindío, Colombia, managed by Sebastián Gómez. Nestled in the misty hills outside Pijao, the farm combines precision agronomy with a spirit of experimentation that defines Colombia’s modern coffee movement. Constantly looking forward and pouring energy into the farm, Sebastián cultivates a range of exotic varieties, but this Geisha stood out on the cupping table.
